trying to download T beam design but only opens as gobble-dy-goop. Can you email a working version?

admin says:

works fine here, do you have microsoft office excel installed?

shankar tayal says:

You can use the same excel tool. One thing you have to do is to calculate the effective flange width which will depend on your one way slab dimensions. You can follow Indian Standard code IS 456:2000 to calculate the effective flange width.

Hi,

I gone thru Shankar’s Two Way Design Slab, Its really appreciated one even though he is 3rd year Student.I like to suggest to him, prepare with justification, I mean to say you should show with all its as per allowable shear and Bond factors, then anybody can utilze those one in 100% confidence…..I hope Shakar will develop it…..

Design T-beam with a length of l=6m and spacing between beam, s=2.8m. the beam must be designed to handle a positive moment of 300 kn.m and negative moment of 510 kn.m (assume the weight of the beam is included in the moments),slab thickness of 100mm.use f’c=34mpa and fy=400mpa,the bars size available in the local market is just fay 25mm
