i read in a page that by providing arch foundation in ordinary soils cost of foundation reduces by 40%
What is a “arch foundation”?How is this made?If building low cost housing using Cellular lightweight concrete what is best type of foundation to be used?

currently i am 2nd year civil engg. student and i want proper guidance for getting job government sector and when i have have to choose one of the branch of civil engineering.
What will be the minimum dimensions of an warehouse which also includes an office and laboratory whose dimensions are 20’x 15′ each and a veranda which will lie in front of the office and laboratory and part of that store area which will be contained by 5000 Bags of cement according to the specifications of IS rules?
Also suggest the dimensions of the plinth of the building if the height of the front and rear wall are 10′ and 9′ respectively.
if possible then also suggest the dimensions of a cement bag in filled condition.
When cement is manufactured in standard other than ASTM C-150 or CEM-I that is manufactured cement contain other composition than clinker only,

i have a doubt regarding the concrete design of a multi storey building. while designing the structure we take the beams and columns as monolithically cast but the columns(First floor), the beam-slab set up, columns of second floor are totally different units and there is only reinforcement connecting all the three units then will there be any bending moments in the columns..as the beams-slab set up is just resting on the columns without any continuous joint(simply supported)?even the columns setup is also discontinuous for each floor.is my thought correct ??
