The cable stayed bridge connects to National Highway 1 near existing T-point at Wazirabad on Western bank and Marginal Bund Road at Khajuri Khas on eastern bank of the river Yamuna. The deck of bridge will be composite i.e steel and concrete while pylon will be in steel.
The bridge is expected to be completed in Dec 2012 and will cost around Rs 1,131 crore.
